Ward Wood Publishing

Ward Wood Publishing is based in London and Shrewsbury and aims to publish high quality novels, short fiction, poetry, nonfiction, drama and translations. It’s run by Adele Ward and Mike Wood.

Although Ward Wood Publishing is located in the UK, the selection policy has been international from the outset and is based purely on the quality of the writing matched by high production standards. Readers can expect innovative and exceptional writing in beautifully produced books.

Ward Wood Publishing is a young company, launched in 2010 at a time when authors need to be assured of outlets for their writing.

Adele Ward

Adele lives in London and has an MA in Creative Writing, specialising in poetry, from Royal Holloway, University of London, where she studied with Andrew Motion. Before co-founding Ward Wood Publishing, she worked as a fiction editor and her poetry collection Never Never Land was published. This has now been relaunched by Ward Wood Publishing along with her novel Everything is Free. Starting out as a local newspaper reporter as a teenager before going to university, her whole career has been in writing and editorial work.

Mike Wood

Mike currently lives in Shrewsbury but has lived in many parts of the UK. He has 9 years of experience in publishing, he formerly worked in the publishing house Cinnamon Press which he co-founded in 2005. He has also written three nonfiction books on his research into home education and school refusal, and edited the Journal of Home Education. Before becoming involved in publishing and writing he worked for a homeless charity in Soho, at the Home Office and, before that, as an electronics technician for British Aerospace, Cambridge University and ICI. He read for a degree as a mature student in Economics and Social Science at Bristol Polytechnic (now the University of the West of England).
